Red Line

The subway Red Line takes you from Downtown all the way to North Hollywood. The Hollywood and Vine stop is worth a visit in it self. Artists and archticts worked toghetehr to evoke the history of Hollywoods film industry. From the subway platform to street level plaza you pass 240 hand painted art tiles on the walls, film reels decorate the ceiling and two original film projectors from the 1930s are on display. Once on the plaza level you are right on Hollywood & Vine, the most famous intersection in the world. Pantages Theater is right across the street and the new W Hotel and Shopping Center right next to the station. From Hollywood & Vine you can walk west on Hollywood Blvd all the way to Hollywood & Highland. The sidewalk is covered with Stars on both sides of the street all the way to H&H and beyond, and there are souvenir shops all along this route.
If you prefer to stay on the Red Line, the next stop is Hollywood & Highland. This is where Kodak Theathre, Chinese Theather, Walk Of Fame, Madame Tousseau, Hollywood Wax Museum and Ripleys believe it or not is located. Hollywood & highland is also a great shopping center with stores like Guess, Lucky Brand and Victoria Secret, along with great restaurants and coffe shops.
The next stop is Universal Studios and the last stop is North Hollywood.
